Tredyffrin Police Report: Resisting Arrest, Thefts, Assault, More

Four people from Brooklyn, New York were arrested for retail theft and resisting arrest on Dec. 19. See more details in the full report.

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA – Tredyffrin Township Police recently released their latest crime report, highlighting incidents in the township that occurred between Dec. 1 and Dec. 20.

Incidents include a four people from Brooklyn, New York being arrested for theft and resisting arrest; numerous thefts, an assault, and more.

THEFT

Dec. 1 – Ryan Gifford, 34, of West Chester, PA was charged with unauthorized use of a credit card and theft by unlawful taking after using the victim’s credit cards without their knowledge. Gifford was transported to Chester County Prison due to the fact he is currently on parole.

THEFT

Dec. 6, Panera Bread in Gateway Shopping Center – The store management reported an employee was making fraudulent returns in excess of $2,000. The actor – Amina Sanders, 40, of Philadelphia, was charged with access device fraud; theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

ASSAULT

Dec. 7, Lancaster Ave in Paoli – Touria Elfernani, 50, of Newtown Square, was charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after she was involved in a domestic disturbance.

RETAIL THEFT

Dec. 7, TJ Maxx in Gateway Shopping Center – Police charged Ana Losiberidze, 27, of Philadelphia, with retail theft after she walked out of the store without paying for shoes and a handbag. The items were valued at $455.34.

POSSESSION

Dec. 7, Paoli Wawa – Officers were assisting subjects with getting into their locked vehicle. Upon arrival, officers detected the odor of marijuana. The occupants of the vehicle – Richelieu Payne, 25 and Onika Richardson, 24, both of Philadelphia were charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia.

THEFT

Dec. 7, Drummers Lane in Wayne – The victim reported a golf bag and golf clubs were stolen from their storage unit. The value of the items taken was approximately $800.

RETAIL THEFT

Dec. 8, Carters store in Gateway Shopping Center – It was reported to police that two unknown females concealed store merchandise estimated at $99 and walked out of the store without paying for it.

POSSESSION

Dec. 15, 1500 block of Bradford Road in Wayne – Police charged Edward Clark, 63, of Coatesville, with possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia after officers detected the odor of marijuana in the vehicle.

THEFT

Dec. 16, Parking lot behind Acme in Wayne – A Mercedes cargo van from Euro Motorcars of Devon was observed in the lot with all four wheels missing. The value of each wheel is approximately $700.

POSSESSION

Dec. 12, Route 202 – Police charged Raqual Redd, 22, of Philadelphia, possession of a small amount of marijuana during a traffic stop.

THEFT

Dec. 18, 200 block of Brookmead Road – The homeowner reported an envelope containing a gift for the trash collectors was stolen overnight. Police warn residents not to put cash or other gifts by their trash cans. If you’d like to give a gift, put a note on the can to direct the worker to your door to hand to them personally.

RETAIL THEFT

Dec. 19, TJ Maxx in Gateway Shopping Center – Police responded to the report of a retail theft in progress. Five actors were observed concealing over $2000 in merchandise by the store’s loss prevention officer. The actors – Dondre Parka, 24; Shaheim Rogers, 21; Sianna Stewart, 25, Rilton Harry, 24 and Bevon Benn 22, all from Brooklyn, New York, were charged with the following crimes: retail theft, receiving stolen property and resisting arrest. All five were arraigned, with bail set between $30,000 and $50,000 which was not posted, therefore they were transported to Chester County Prison.

THEFT FROM VEHICLES

Dec. 20, Lifetime Fitness in Wayne – Three vehicles had their passenger windows smashed out and purses taken while the owners were in the facility. The purses contained wallets, identification, credit cards, cash, checks and a passport. The case is under investigation.

The following individuals were arrested for driving under the influence. The lab results and/or chemical breath testing have been officially verified and determined to be unfit to operate a motor vehicles safely on the roadway

  • Ryan Grover, 23, of Trenton, New Jersey – BAC was .116 percent
  • Caitlin Jenkins, 30, of Conshohocken – BAC was .220 percent
  • Paul Knepley, 31, of Wayne – BAC was .137 percent
  • Stephen Mugler, 44, of Malvern – BAC was .119 percent
