Tredyffrin Resident Gets Scam IRS Call From 'Radnor Police'

The resident said the scam caller said she was from the Radnor Police Department and that the resident owed the IRS money.

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA – A Tredyffrin Township resident got a call from "Radnor Police" recently, but it turns out the call was just another scam claiming the resident owed the IRS money.

According to Radnor Township Police, a Tredyffrin resident told authorities that someone identified as "Mary Jones" from the Radnor Police Department contacted the resident to tell them they owed money to the IRS.

The resident hung the phone up and immediately notified Radnor Police.

According to police, the call came from (610) 688-0503, the Radnor Township Police Department phone number.

Radnor Police said anyone who receives a similar call should not provide any personal information and should hang up the call immediately.

Those who get a similar call should call 911 so authorities can launch an investigation.
