Tredyffrin Township Police Blotter For Jan. 11

Possession, retail theft, and pick pocketing score the new report.

Tredyffrin Township Police released its latest crime update, highlighting police activity in the township from Jan. 5 to Jan. 11.

Police reported one person was charged with driving under the influence:

  • Gregory Francis, 45, of Wayne – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) was greater than .30 percent

Jan. 5, 100 block of Hunters Lane and 100 block of Steeplechase Road in Devon – Three homeowners reported windows in their homes broken by a BB gun.

POSSESSION

Jan. 6, 12:06 p.m., Swedesford Road in Wayne – Robert Keegan, 57, of Mohrsville, Pennsylvania, was charged with Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana and Paraphernalia during a traffic stop.

RETAIL THEFT

Jan. 6, 1:1 6 p.m., Staples store in Gateway Shopping Center – Store management reported the theft of a high speed cable modem after the box was discovered empty on the shelf. The case is under investigation.

PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS

Jan. 8, 6:26 p.m., MOD Pizza in Gateway Shopping Center – A 25 year old male from Malvern, was charged with Public Drunkenness after he was observed to be visibly intoxicated.

UNDERAGE DRINKING

Jan. 9, 10:48 a.m., Route 202 – A 19 year old male from Chalfont, was charged with Underage Drinking during a traffic stop.

BENCH WARRANT ARREST

Jan. 11, 11:30 a.m. – Katie Hirst, 24, of Bensalem, PA turned herself in on an active bench warrant stemming from an incident in July 2016. Hirst appeared before Judge Sondergaard and was released after bail was set.

PICKPOCKET

Jan. 11, 2:51 p.m., Panera Bread in Gateway Shopping Center – The victim reported her wallet stolen while dining in the restaurant. The wallet contained ID and credit cards. The victim later reported an attempted purchase made on one of their stolen credit cards.
