Township Manager William Martin said the event was initially planned as a Fourth of July celebration, but after that was rained out it was shifted to Sept. 17. Martin is expecting a large turnout to honor the 90 years of service the police have given as well as the 50 years of service the library has provided to the community.

The township is asking anyone who is not staying for the fireworks to park in the Corporate Parks on Lee Road.
