The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge comes to Footlighters Theater
This Family Friendly comedy brings back all of your favorite characters from Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" with a new twist!

It’s the Trial of the Century! One Christmas ago, after a whirlwind ride through time, Ebenezer Scroogewas redeemed…but then what? Incredibly, a year after his miraculous transformation, Ebenezer Scrooge is back to his old ways. This time he’s suing Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future for breaking and entering, kidnapping and a host of other “crimes” including emotional distress! Join us for The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge as they relive that famous night in question with all of the characters from Charles Dickens’ beloved “A Christmas Carol” taking the stand.
Footlighters Theater, the oldest community theater on the Main Line, welcomes director Suki into the fold and she has the 19th century courtroom set and ready for action. Tickets are available on their website, www.footlighterstheater.com; advance purchase is recommended to avoid disappointment.
Court will be called to order at 8:00pm on December 1, 2, 8, 9, 15 and 16. Two additional trial dates have been set for Sundays, December 3 and 10 at 2:00pm. Come see firsthand what Charles Dickens’ “squeezing, wrenching, grasping, clutching, covetous old sinner” is up to now! This comedic twist on a story we all know and love is a family friendly event. Located in the heart of Berwyn, there are many options for dining before or after the show. Street parking is available as well as the excess parking lot at St. Monica’s Church across from the theater.

Located at 58 Main Avenue in Berwyn, Footlighters Theater has been providing premier theater arts productions for the region since 1929. They produce a six-show season of plays including at least two musicals in an intimate 110-seat historical converted church dating back to 1888. Two additional fundraising productions round out the season with the 4th annual “Broadway Sings” cabaret returning March 2-4, 2018.
