Upper Main Line YMCA Introduces a New Preschool STEM & Arts (STEAM) Academy

Local YMCA introduces new preschool programming offering specialized instruction from experts in STEM and STEAM fields.

A new program with a focus on STEM and ARTS activities will open this fall at the Upper Main Line YMCA in Berwyn, PA. This unique preschool and pre-K Academy engages children in science, technology, engineering, math, music, movement, theater and language arts - building an early excitement for learning and a foundation of STEAM knowledge.

Led by a highly qualified and experienced staff, the Academy will utilize the vast resources of the Y’s Environmental and STEM Education Complex as well as the Creative & Performing Arts Center. The property is located on 54 acres and features include a science lab, pond, fully functioning barn, art, dance and music studios and more. Additionally, the facility has a diverse and experienced staff of education professionals with science and arts degrees and continuing education credits.

Registration is now open and spaces are limited. The Academy will run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for the 2017 – 2018 school year.
