Utility Pole Goes Up In Flames In Tredyffrin Wednesday

The Radnor Fire Company said some residents in the area lost cable service but said there were no reports of power outages due to the fire.

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA – A utility pole went up in flames Wednesday night in Tredyffrin Township, prompting fire crews to jump into action.

According to the Radnor Fire Company, at about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday crews were called to the intersection of Upper Gulph and Old School Eagle roads after receiving a report of a utility pole on fire.

Firefighters found the pole fully engulfed in flames.

PECO crews were called to the scene and shut off power to the pole's lines making it possible fir firefighters to extinguish the blazing pole, the fire company said.

The scene was clear by about 11:05 p.m.
