Vehicle Falls Into Little Darby Creek In Wayne Tuesday

The driver reportedly stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake and drove into the creek Tuesday.

WAYNE, PA – A vehicle got stuck between the two stone walls of Little Darby Creek Tuesday afternoon in Wayne.

The Radnor Fire Company was called to the area behind La Maison Apartments at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday to find a vehicle wedged between the walls of the creek.

The fire company said with the vehicle's front end was resting in the creek bed as it was wedged between the walls.

The driver was safely pulled from the vehicle and did not seek medical treatment, the fire company said.

Towing crews removed the vehicle from the creek.

The Delaware County Daily Times reports the driver hit the accelerator instead of the brake, driving into the creek. The driver reportedly won't be cited for the incident.
