In Wake Of Sexting Scandal, Conestoga Hosts 'Social Media Parenting' Presentation
Mental health, teen depression, social media usage, and the role of parenting: they're all on the table at a pair of upcoming events.

BERWYN, PA - A pair of programs at Conestoga High School will discuss mental health, teen depression, social media usage, and the role of parenting.
The first program, Minding Your Mind, will run during the school day for juniors and seniors, and then in the evening for parents, on December 10, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.:
ARCH, along with Conestoga High School, invites parents and teens to join Minding Your Mind in a discussion on mental health education. Topics addressed will include anxiety, depression, self-harm, substance abuse, and the difference between positive and negative coping mechanisms. All Conestoga juniors and seniors will attend this presentation in an assembly on December 10 during the school day. The evening presentation is open to all parents. Teens are encouraged to attend as well.

Both programs are presented by ARCH, a local nonprofit that helps parents and kids, along with Conestoga High School.
The programs come after the Tredyffrin-Easttown school district was rocked by a “sexting” scandal earlier this school year, when a ring of middle school students were found to be sharing nude images of girls in their class.
