Watch Live Stream: Melania Trump Holds Rally on Main Line
Melania Trump and Indiana First Lady Karen Pence are holding a rally on the Main Line Thursday afternoon. Watch the event live here.
Melania Trump and Indiana First Lady Karen Pence will be in Berwyn on Thursday afternoon as she holds a rally for her husband just days out from the election. The rally will mark her first campaign speech since the Republican National Convention in Cleveland in July.
She is scheduled to begin speaking at 2 p.m. at the Main Line Sports Center. Donald Trump first indicated that his wife would be speaking in the final days of the election during an interview last week. Although no details were released at the time, details of the Berwyn rally were released Monday.
Donald Trump and Indiana Gov. Mike Pence will not be appearing in Berwyn, although the Trump campaign website appeared to list the pair on the schedule at the Main Line event for a time on Thursday. Trump is speaking in Jacksonville, Florida, at noon while Pence has an engagement in Portage, Michigan, at 3:30 p.m.

The event follows Donald Trump and Mike Pence's visit to nearby King of Prussia on Tuesday afternoon, as both sides double down their focus on the greater Philadelphia area in the final days of the campaign. During their speech at a private event at the Hilton hotel, Trump and Pence bashed Obamacare and deplored the rising premiums faced by states.

Democratic officials and the Hillary Clinton campaign are planning a press conference outside of the Main Line Sports Center before the rally on Thursday. Kathi Cozzone, Chester County commissioner; Jacqueline Ayers, director of legislative affairs of Planned Parenthood Action Fund; and Christina Hartman, a candidate for U.S. Congress, will join other notable Democrats to speak out against Trump.

"Speakers will highlight how during this campaign, we've seen Trump dismiss women in the workplace and make jokes objectifying them," the Clinton campaign said in an email. "We've seen him boast about using his power to walk in on nude and often under-aged pageant contestants in the dressing room. We've listened to him brag about sexually assaulting women, prompting his victims to come forward with horrifying stories of his abuse. Trump's words and deeds involving women prove he's unfit to be President of the United States. He has shown us who he is — it's time to believe him."
Melania Trump was embroiled in controversy after her speech at the RNC in Cleveland, as it was found to have marked similarities to a speech given by Michelle Obama. A Trump campaign speechwriter took responsibility and offered to resign, but the Trump campaign kept her on.
Doors open for the event at noon. See here for tickets. The Sports Center is located on 1340 Swedesford Road.
