“Katie McGinty has broad experience in state and federal government and in the private sector,” Wolf said. “She will be an asset to my administration and to the people of Pennsylvania. McGinty served as Deputy Assistant and then as Chairman of the White House Council on Environmental Quality under President Bill Clinton. She was named Pennsylvania’s Secretary of Environment Protection in 2003 by then-Gov. Ed Rendell, a position she held until 2008.
Wolf will be inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2015, which is when McGinty will take office. Until then, she will be helping Wolf build his administration, the governor-elect’s office said.
