What's for Lunch...or Dinner? Redhound Grille opens on Paoli Pike
One of the area's newest restaurant opened quietly last week. The grand opening is set for ext Wednesday, June 15.
Shane Magee's restaurant Redhound Grille opened quietly last Wednesday, with a grand opening event scheduled for Wednesday, June 15.
Magee, most recently of at People's Light and Theater, focuses on "American food with a twist" at his new restaurant. Entrées run from about $10 to $22, and include items such as Berkshire Centre Cut Pork Chop (brined in-house) with grain mustard and apple jus, and Classic Mushroom Risotto with Kennett Square mushrooms, white wine and fresh herbs, as mentioned in Patch's . The wine list features 30 bottles under $40.
Despite keeping the opening pretty quiet—intentionally, so the 30-person team had a little practice before the rush—turnout has been good in the past week, Magee said. He estimates about 200 people stopped in to the Grille on Saturday night.
"We had a really busy weekend and the response has been really good," Magee said. "It's been fun and a lot of work."
Wednesday's grand opening will feature live music from 9 to 11 p.m. and dollar off drafts and well drinks during Happy Hour (daily, 5 to 7 p.m.).
The Grille opens at 11 a.m. Tuesday through Sunday, and is still operating under the idea that "it's open till it's closed," a server said on Thursday.
