Woodlynde Senior Wins NBC-10, Widener University Leadership Award

Wayne - Woodlynde School senior Taylor Sforza was recognized by NBC-10 and Widener University as a 2014 High School Leadership Award winner.

As one of several students selected for the award from schools in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, Sforza has the opportunity to attend a leadership conference at Widener University and a recognition breakfast at the National Constitution Center. She will also receive a $20,000 scholarship awarded over four years if she chooses to enroll at Widener University.

Each year, principals from schools across the Greater Philadelphia Region nominate one junior from their school for the award. Award Recipients are then selected based on their leadership skills, academic excellence, and exceptional character shown through their participation in extracurricular activities, volunteer work, and demonstration of being a positive influence on their peers.

At Woodlynde School, Sforza serves as the senior class president through which she helps plan Upper School L.E.A.D. program trips and gatherings. She is also a member of the National Honor Society.
