Worker Hurt When Bucket Truck Tips In Devon Monday

The worker was taken to Paoli Hospital under advanced life support after falling about 40 feet when the truck tipped, fire officials said.

DEVON, PA — A worker in a bucket truck was hurt when the truck tipped over and caused him to fall about 40 feet Monday in Devon, according to the Berwyn Fire Company.

The fire company said it was called to the 200 block of South Fairfield Road in the Devon section of Easttown Township at about 11:14 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5.

Crews found a bucket truck had tipped over onto power lines and that the worker feel about 40 feet then was trapped under the truck, according to the fire company.

The worker was taken to Paoli Hospital under advanced life support care, the fire company said. His condition is unknown as of Tuesday morning.

A portion of South Fairfield Road was closed as crews worked to clear the scene, which occurred at about 1:30 p.m., the fire company said.
