• Lehigh Valley food safety report: Insect activity in kitchen and food prep areas; animal products ‘adulterated with fecal matter' (mcall.com) — Food safety inspectors recently checked dozens of Lehigh Valley restaurants, including the Kentucky Fried Chicken on Hamilton Boulevard in Trexlertown, which passed its August 31 inspection with no violations. Other area establishments saw issues ranging from insect activity and sanitation problems to temperature control and labeling concerns, with many violations corrected on the spot but some requiring follow-up visits.
