This year's theme is Our Planet, Our Power. We are&nbsp; bringing together interactive experiences, live performances, and hands-on activities that inspire curiosity and action. We are planning a zero waste, full 4 hour Program of Musical Performances, Community Garden Tour, walks, crafts, drum circle and Frisbee. Ten “Talks at the Tent” presentations will inform and explore today's top environmental issues. Over 50 Exhibitors, Food and Activities for all ages.
PERFORMANCES Enjoy performances by the Mighty Manatees, Anna Spackman, and Feet First Dance.&nbsp; ACTIVITIES Stretch your full body in joyful music with Qigong movements that work in slow flowing sequences, unleash your creativity with an improv workshop, and join the drum circle to feel the rhythm and power of collective expression.&nbsp; LEARN AND DO Attend a presentation at our “Talks at the Tent”, craft a paper earth wands with streamers, swap seeds, meet a live owl up close. &nbsp;Savor delicious food, and discover even more ways to connect with nature and your community! &nbsp; HIKE Take a hike to Identify wild edibles, tour the community garden or journey down the Lenape ridge trail to Indian Point.&nbsp;&nbsp;

John James Audubon Center

Looking for a quiet, creative way to reconnect with nature and sharpen your observation skills? Nature Journaling invites you to use words and pictures to collect and record your observations and connections to the natural world.
This immersive class teaches you to observe and record the living landscape shapes, textures, patterns, and seasonal changes found on the property at Mill Grove.
Most of the class will take place outdoors, so please dress for the terrain and weather. Bring a journal that suits your style and a #2 pencil. Guided by Kathleen Elliot, Mt. Cuba Center Educator certified in Nature Journaling by the Wild Wonder Foundation’s Educator Program.

Join us as we welcome distinguished ornithologist Rob Bierregaard, who has studied Ospreys since 1971. He will share insights from decades of research on Osprey migration and population trends, from New England to the Chesapeake.
We’ll also screen the powerful short film The Last Ospreys, which explores the growing threats to Chesapeake Osprey populations. A discussion with filmmaker William McKeever and Rob Bierregaard will follow.

Historic Yellow Springs Inc

The 53rd Annual Yellow Springs Art Show returns April 25–May 10 at Historic Yellow Springs, continuing one of Chester County’s most cherished spring traditions. Open daily from 10 am to 4 pm with free admission, this juried exhibition features 210 artists and over 4,000 original works for sale, filling the galleries of the Lincoln Building with an inspiring variety of paintings, sculpture, and fine craft. Visitors of all ages are welcome, and families can enjoy the popular Art Quest scavenger hunt, making the Art Show a perfect seasonal outing.
As Historic Yellow Springs’ largest annual fundraiser, the Art Show helps support the organization’s mission to preserve and celebrate the unique living village of Yellow Springs through history, arts, education, and environmental stewardship. 
The event concludes on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10, with the Art Around the Village Community Event, a free celebration from 10 am to 2 pm featuring artist demonstrations, creative activities, village tours, games, food truck and more!

53rd Annual Yellow Springs Art Show - April 25 - May 10

Bring your family and friends to the Purcellville Music and Arts Festival on Saturday, April 25 from noon to 7 p.m. rain or shine. This free, family-friendly event will be held at Fireman’s Field Park and inside the Bush Tabernacle Skating Rink at 250 South Nursery Avenue.

Enjoy a full day of live music and performances across multiple stages, along with an art exhibit, games, chalk art, and a variety of interactive activities. Browse offerings from local vendors featuring handcrafted goods, food, beverages, and more. There will be fun for all ages, including face painting, glitter tattoos, sidewalk chalk art, and t-shirt or tote bag decorating. Local non-profits will also be on-site sharing information and resources. Special activities will highlight and celebrate the 250th anniversary of America’s independence. 
Inside the Bush Tabernacle Skating Rink—transformed into the Art Hall—you’ll find more than 30 works of art, live performances, art demonstrations, and hands-on activities including quilt square decorating and an Instrument Petting Zoo. Be sure to pick up a festival scavenger hunt booklet and complete it for a chance to win a prize!
