1 Dead In Upper Dublin After Ida Hammers Township

A woman in Upper Dublin was killed Thursday, as some of the storm's most severe damage hit the township.

UPPER DUBLIN, PA — A woman in Upper Dublin was reportedly killed Thursday, as some of the storm's most severe damage hit the township.

County officials confirmed one woman died after a tree was knocked over and fell into a home. No other information about the victim or further circumstances of the situation were immediately available.

Upper Dublin's police station, township building, and high school all sustained significant damage during the storm.

The National Weather Service is investigating whether a tornado struck the area. A portion of Montgomery County was within the path of one of several potential twisters that hit the greater Philadelphia area on Wednesday evening.
