UPPER DUBLIN TOWNSHIP, PA — The giant space at the corner of Norristown and Limekiln roads that was destroyed by a tornado five years ago is witnessing activity.
Maple Glen Pointe is under construction, with models now open by appointment only at this time.
It is one of two new housing projects under construction at the same time in the Maple Glen Triangle, where Norristown and Welsh roads meet and divide Upper Dublin from Horsham Township.
The tornado is what spurred both projects.
In Horsham Township, townhomes are being built next to the Key Bank, with a model already open.
The Upper Dublin housing project has townhomes priced at $700,000 and above.
A realtor showing the model by appointment only said Sunday that 10 of the 72 townhomes have been sold already.
Meanwhile, road crews are putting in sidewalks, clearing land, and working on widening the lanes in the busy traffic triangle.
