Beatrice D. Desimone, 83, of Conshohocken

Beatrice Desimone, was employed in the US NAvy in printing and a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Beatrice D. Desimone, 83, of Conshohocken, died peacefully on June 28, 2012 at Regina Nursing Center.

She was the beloved wife of Louis S. Desimone, Sr. for 60 years.

She was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 8, 1928 to the late Felix A. and Helen (Rizzo) Tartaglia.

Bea was a graduate of Olney High School class of 1945.

She was employed by the US Navy in printing; she later worked as an insurance agent for Prudential Insurance Co.

Bea was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was a devoted member of SS. Cosmas and Damian Church in Conshohocken where she served as a Lector and was a member of St. Rita's Sodality where she was former president.

She was a member of the Whitemarsh Lionesses and was former president, a member of the Sons of Italy Avanti Lodge, the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, and was a Leader for the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.

She also was an avid book reader.

In addition to her husband Louis, she is survived by four children Carole M. Pepe (Thomas) of West Norriton, David F. Desimone (Karen) of Collegeville, John C. Desimone (Cheryl) of Collegeville, Joseph P. Desimone (Jodi) of Pottstown, 13 grandchildren Diana D. Farina, Thomas V., Christian A. Pepe, Sharon E., Ross L., Andrea L., Kalie M., Lauren R., Michael J., Matthew C., Ryan M., Francesca H., Alissa N. Desimone, two great-grandchildren Talia M., Joseph D. Farina, a sister Helen Siebert of Warminster, and many nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by a son Louis S. Desimone, Jr., and a grandson Joseph D. Desimone, a sister Louise Tartaglia, a brother Felix A. Tartaglia, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 10:00 AM at SS. Cosmas and Damian Church, 209 W. 5th Ave., Conshohocken, PA.

The Viewing will be Monday evening from 6:30-9:00 PM and Tuesday from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Homes, 516 Fayette St., Conshohocken.

Interment in St. Matthew Cemetery.
