Dishware From BeiPiatti Featured on Ciao Italia

, stocks all Italian, handmade ceramic and glassware. Patricia Bongiovanni, owner of BeiPiatti said she and her husband, work with the artists in Italy to create fresh, new designs as well as taking old, traditional designs and making them contemporary.

Bongiovanni and her husband Rick are both of Italian descent and have a home in Italy. They began by bringing back pieces for their own home, then friends asked them to bring things back for them. They decided to start as a business-to-business seller, but it quickly turned into a retail store, when customers came knocking on the door.

She said that the designs and the pieces in the store are constantly changing and no two pieces are alike.

The unique dishware from BeiPiatti are also now featured under all of the recipes on Ciao Italia, the longest running cooking show in America.

BeiPiatti offers wedding registries; discounts for first time shoppers, and customers can also search their inventory online. Hours for the store on Commerce Dr. in Ft. Washington are Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday by appointment. However, Bongiovanni said if the lights are on, someone is there, just knock.
