Sunday Evening Concert Series: Barbone Street Jazz Band

End a busy weekend relaxing at a Sunday Evening Concert. Don’t forget to bring your own lawn chairs and blankets. Concerts will be held at Temple University Ambler. Parking and concerts located on academic building side of Meetinghouse Road - look for signage. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will be moved to the Temple University Ambler auditorium.  

Playing this week: Barbone Street Jazz Band

Barbone Street Jazz is a continuation in the evolutionary process of Dixieland. We seek to put our own stamp on the Dixieland form of jazz by combining our individual styles into a free swinging band sound. We match the rhythm section to the function. For example, in concert, we often use a modern jazz guitar, and/or piano as the primary chord instrument, which results in a very different Dixieland sound.
