Upper Dinlin High School's fifth group of inductees for its Athletic Hall of Fame will be celebrated at a banquet and formal induction ceremony, March 10, beginning at 5:30 p.m., with the unveiling of plaques in the Athletic Complex Lobby.
This year's class represents five decades of UDHS athletics from the 1960s through 2000s, covering nine sports. The 2012 induction class includes Dick Snyder, '63; Dorn Taylor, '75; Greg Whorral, '83; Leah Conte, '97; Kristy Heyser, '97; Lori Eberwein, '00; legendary women's swimming coach Elaine (Johnson) Panichello; and the 1970 girls PIAA State Championship track and field team, including Karen Gallagher, Beth Good, Jewel Herder, Elaina Ryder, Kathy Seitz and coach Jack Feury.
Following the unveiling of plaques commemorating their accomplishments on the Athletic Wall of Fame, the inductees will be honored at the awards dinner and induction ceremony, at 6:35 p.m., in the new high school cafeteria.
