Flooding, Torrential Rain Possible In Montgomery County: NWS

Batten down the hatches.

A flood warning has been issued for Montgomery County and Bucks County Thursday afternoon, effective until 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Small stream flooding is possible throughout the region in urban and suburban areas.

Up to one inch of rain has already fallen as heavy thunderstorms have spread across the region.

“Heavy” rain was initially predicted at 2:02 p.m., the Weather Service said.

Strong thunderstorms are also expected to affect much of Delaware County, where a “Special Weather Statement” was released by the Weather Service.

Flooding should also be expected there, as torrential rainfall will occur throughout the region.

An excessive heat warning is also in effect for Delaware County until 6 p.m.
