GA Sports: Girls' Hoops Downs Agnes Irwin, 64-42

Junior Kiernan McCloskey '13 earned a double-double, helping the Patriots defeat Agnes Irwin, 64-42, in Tuesday's Inter-Ac League affair at Germantown Academy. McCloskey hauled in 14 rebounds and scored 13 points. The versatile guard/forward also had four blocks.

Senior Jaryn Garner '12 also had a busy afternoon. The University of Virginia bound guard poured in 25 points and had six steals and six rebounds.

Following a lengthy recovering process for her knee, junior Angela Upbright '13 returned to the lineup for GA and scored six points, as did junior Natalie Toner '13 and junior Melanie Repella '13.

Senior Sarah Armstrong '12, junior Dempsey Cooper '13, sophomore Megan McCloskey '14, and freshman Olivia Gorman '15 each chipped in with two points.

Emily Weltz led Agnes Irwin's offense with 18 points.
