
When we last checked in with the Germantown Academy wrestling team, the Patriots had just in the Pennsylvania Independent School State Individual Wrestling Tournament. 11 wrestlers placed in the top six and advanced to this past weekend's National Prep Wrestling Champions held at Lehigh University.
There, five Patriots medaled, led by a pair of third place finishers in 138-pounder Chris Yankowich and heavyweight Chuck Boddy. 195-pounder Keith Corliss and 220-pounder Nick Grossi took fourth, while 145-pounder BJ Crozier took fifth.
The Patriots finished third as a team in the competition, which features some of the nation's top talent. Germantown's 129 points fell short of champion Blair Academy's (NJ) 354.5 and second place Wyoming Seminary's 252.5.

Next year, Yankowich will be taking his wrestling talents to the University of Virginia, while Boddy will head to Bucknell, and Grossi to The Citadel. Corliss and senior Marcus Anthony still face a decision of whether to play football or wrestle in college.
