Gallery: Boys Volleyball Drops Season Opener to Haverford

The Cardinals lost in straight sets in their first game of the year.

On Friday, March 25, the Upper Dublin boys volleyball team opened up the season with a loss to visiting Haverford. The Cardinals dropped three straight sets to the Fords, after falling behind early in each.

“We struggled a little bit with passing, got ourselves in a hole each game, and you know we were playing from behind every game,” said first-year head coach Matt Ehlers.

Ehlers hopes to improve and work toward a winning record in his first year at the helm.

“We just want to keep improving the program here ... hopefully, we can go out with at least a .500 record and continue to improve from there,” Ehlers said.

The team next plays Tuesday night at North Penn.
