Girls Tennis Victorious against Pennsbury in District Playoff Opener

The Upper Dublin Girls Tennis Team Defeated Pennsbury in the 1^st Round of District Team Playoffs on Monday, Oct. 10, 2011.

• Alyssa Bergman (UD) def. Sona Hussian (Penns) 6-4, 7-5
• Megan klosterman (UD) def. Katie Reilly (Penns) 6-1, 6-3
• Sophia Zhang (UD) def. Marisa millenson (Penns) 6-3, 6-2
• Kathleen Raftery and Nicole Raftery (Penns) def. Nikki  Dion and Laynie Dratch (UD) 6-2, 6-1
• Lauren Zawacki and Katie Newton (Penns) def. Andrea Jin and Heather Begley (UD) 6-4, 6-1

UD swept the three singles matches to go on to the 2^nd round of District Team competition.  On Tuesday the Lady Cardinals play West Chester Henderson, the District I 1^st seed.
