Lansdale Firefighters Battle Flames, Freezing Temps
"Temperatures around 10 degrees instantly froze the water on everything it touched, including our personal protective equipment."

LANSDALE, PA - Firefighters braved freezing temperatures Monday night as they battled a blaze a home in Lansdale late into the night, according to reports.
Crews were first called to the blaze near the intersection of Wissahickon Avenue and Pennbrook Avenue at about 10:20 p.m., The Reporter said.
Crews remained at the scene working on the blaze until the early morning hours.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The fire significantly damaged the home, although the precise extent of the damage remains unclear, officials said.

Temperatures dipping down near the single digits “instantly froze” the water on everything it touched, including the personal protective equipment of fire men.
In addition to the Fairmount Fire Company of Lansdale, the Upper Gwynedd Township Fire Department, Colmar Volunteer Fire Company, North Penn Volunteer Fire Company, Fire Department of Montgomery Township, and North Penn Goodwill Services all responded to the scene.
