Local Business WPPTW Putting People to Work
Despite the economy, Sam Vinicur has made himself into entrepreneur and is helping people find work.
Sam Vinicur opened WPPTW Global Inc just eight months ago, in the midst of the down economy. But it's times like these that people need businesses like Vinicur's; businesses with acronyms and missions like "We Put People to Work."
“I was trying to figure out the acronyms my teenage daughters were texting me all the time. It became the company name, hook and tagline all in one,” said Vinicur.
His ambition came from a simple, entrepreneurial recognition.
“The main reason why I started the company is because I knew I could do a better job than the competition existing in the space,” said Vinicur.
WPPTW’s main focus is executive recruiting in the electronic, physical security industry. His main objective is to find the right match between a company and a prospective employee.
“Typically a recruiting company will send 10 to 20 resumes that may fit the position the client has open. It’s a 'let’s throw enough against the wall and see what sticks' mindset. My methodology enables me to seek out and find those few stars that can not only fulfill the requirements of the position but are strong cultural fit for the company,” said Vinicur. “That’s the magic.”
Vinicur received his degree in criminal justice from Temple University, and worked for over 20 years in the security industry before making the leap to starting his own company.
He has been a security director for a major pharmaceutical company, and also worked in the aerospace and defense industry, selling simulation and improvement software. Early on in his career, he even worked in the food and beverage hospitality industry.
In addition to recruiting, he also sells security equipment and installs security systems for people.

Vinicur says that his personal service and follow throughs make his business unique.
“My clients have needs for excellent employees that will help take their businesses to the next level. My business is to thoroughly understand their needs, culture and market and seek out and find talent that is a match.”
Vinicur, who grew up in Upper Dublin, says he is proud to be in business here and help out members of the community.
“I believe in local service to the community as well as doing business locally,” said Vinicur. “Having grown up in the region and local to Upper Dublin for the last 15 years, I can paint a very positive picture for candidates who may want to work here. There are wonderful, diverse companies in the region and I’m familiar with the local culture.”
Vinicur believes in helping his businesses grow, not just getting the job done.
“I don’t place candidates and run away on the next job. I want to be a partner with my clients and help them succeed,” said Vinicur. “I won’t pull a candidate I’ve placed out of a company after a couple of years. I want the candidates to succeed so they can grow in the company.”
