Two Boy Scouts from Troop 542 Earn Eagle Scout Award
Two Boy Scouts from Troop 432 in Maple Glen received the Eagle Scout Award at a Court of Honor Held Recently.

Two Scouts from Boy Scout Troop 542 received the Eagle Scout Award at a Court of Honor ceremony at Supplee Presbyterian Church in Maple Glen, where the troop is based. Brandon P. McMorrow and Wyatt C. Whitney were presented the Eagle Award by Scoutmaster Jay Eibner. PA State Representative Todd Stephens attended the ceremony and presented legislative citations to Scouts McMorrow and Whitney.
Brandon McMorrow is a 2016 graduate of Upper Dublin High School, where he was active in Latin Club and was captain of the Water Polo Team. He is currently studying mechanical engineering at Drexel University in Philadelphia. For his Eagle Scout Project, McMorrow lead a team that serviced the existing trail in Henry Lee Willet Park in Willow Grove, PA, and also constructed a new section of trail that circumvented an older, eroded section that had become dangerous to use.
Wyatt Whitney is a 2016 graduate of Abington Senior High School, where he was captain of the swim team and a member of the National Honor Society. He received a President’s Scholarship to Temple University’s Honors College where he is pursuing a degree in mathematics. Whitney’s Eagle Project involved designing and constructing a large flower garden with wooden picnic tables for the playground at his church, New Life Presbyterian in Dresher, PA.

Boy Scout Troop 542 has more than 100 youth members and is led by Scoutmaster Jay Eibner. Since its inception in 1969, more than 140 Scouts from Troop 542 have earned the rank of Eagle.
