UD Community Day Schduled for September 29

A midway, entertainment, and performances, will be part of the 2012 Community Day.

Upper Dublin Community Day is scheduled for Saturday, September 29.

Over the past 22 years this bi-annual tradition has been fun, inviting for families to attend, and free of charge. Community Day 2012 is co-hosted by the Upper Dublin Committee on Teenage Alcohol & Substance Abuse, the School District of Upper Dublin and Upper Dublin Township and takes place on the fields and street across from the new high school.  There will be booths on the Midway as well as entertainment and performances during the afternoon.

The success of the day is possible because of the involvement of the many groups that have participated over the years.  Any community organization is invited to participate at no charge.  Groups will be given a table, chairs and booth space on the midway for their participation from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Many groups sponsor or organize some form of activity or entertainment that highlights their members’ talents and contributions to the Upper Dublin community. In previous years activities have included crafts, demonstrations, art activities, and games, as well as information about the organizations.  New groups as well as repeat participants are welcome.
