UD Sports: Boys Tennis Cruises to 6-1 Victory over CB West

All four doubles teams won in straight sets.

The Upper Dublin boys tennis team improved to 2-0 in its early season with a 6-1 win over Central Bucks South at home on Tuesday afternoon.

Although the Cardinals had to battle from behind in their 5-2 win over North Penn on Monday, they appeared to cruise against the Bucks. None of the six winners gave up a set, each taking the minimum of two to defeat their opponent.

The four doubles teams swept through their competition, led by 1st doubles duo Adam Chernow and Matt Swiren, who won 6-0, 6-2. However, the Cardinals were not without a few battles, as 3rd singles player Adrian Scales had to work for a 7-5, 6-3 victory and the 4th doubles team of Jason Britchkow and Joe Kwon earned a decision by the same margin.

The team looks to go three for three on the week when they play Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School at home on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
