UDSD Will Host Community-Wide Black History Celebration

Celebration scheduled for February 16th

February is Black History Month and the Upper Dublin School District African American & Black Students and Families Committee and the UDHS Black Student Union will host a community-wide Black History Month Celebration.

Black History Month is a time to remember the important contributions and achievements of African Americans throughout our nation’s history. The event, scheduled for February 16, 2018, from 6:30 – 8:30 PM, will be held at Upper Dublin High School Performing Arts Center + Cafeteria, 800 Loch Alsh Ave, Fort Washington, PA.

The agenda includes: Growing Up Black in Upper Dublin, a conversation and workshop, student presentations, interactive classes and special performances, SOCA dance, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, African drumming and ethnic and cultural vendors.
