Upper Dublin School Taxes Up 47 Percent In Last Decade: Report

UPPER DUBLIN, PA – A new report tracks increases in taxes in several local school districts across the Philadelphia area over the past ten years.

In the report, the Philadelphia Inquirer charts out tax increases levied by districts in Delaware, Chester, Montgomery, and Bucks counties over the last 10 years.

Rising taxes levied by school districts is commonplace and should be, to some degree, expected, given economic flux, new technology, and other district needs to modernize education.

In Upper Dublin, taxes have increased 47.9 percent over the past ten years.

The district's most recent millage rate hike means homeowners in the district will see a $129 increase in the 2018-2019 bill.
