Beth is a beautiful 32 year old single mother with an inoperable brain tumor called a Oligodendroglioma. Oligodendrogliomas are generally felt to be incurable using current treatments and have a survival rate of approximately 34%. They have a very high (almost uniform) rate of recurrence and gradually increase in grade over time.

She is the mother of an 8 year old and a 6 year old, and is trying to give them the most normal life possible. She is currently doing a course of chemo which leaves her very ill and very tired and recently lost her job due to her devastating condition. Although she has access to COBRA benefits, she pays nearly $400.00 per month to keep the benefits going.

Questions can be addressed to Sue Stengel who is her mother 484-264-7292.
