Curbside Yard Waste Pickup Set for May 16
May 16 will be Upper Macungie's only curbside pickup of yard waste until the fall.

’s only curbside yard waste pickup this spring will be Wednesday, May 16.
Yard waste –- leaves, shrubbery clippings and tree trimmings -– should be placed in commercially-designed open trash containers with sloped sides no bigger than a 32-gallon capacity, according to the township.
Smaller branches and limbs should be tied and bundled to a maximum size of 48 inches by 18 inches by 18 inches with a maximum weight of 60 pounds, the township newsletter says. The ties should be biodegradable.

The yard waste containers can be put out on May 15 after 6 p.m. Each household can put out a maximum of six containers.
The collection does not accept grass clippings, roots from trees or shrubs or lumber.

The next scheduled yard waste pickup will be in the fall but residents can take their yard waste to the township Yard Waste Drop-Off Site next to the Public Works building at the intersection of Grim and Schantz roads.
