Run/Walk Raises $4,000 for Dog Park

Upper Macungie's 2012 5K Fun Run for Parks earlier this month will help with park's completion.

Upper Macungie's 5K Fun Run for Parks helped raised $4,420 for the township's new Dog Park, according to the township's Facebook page.

Located off Route 100, the park covers about three-quarters of an acre, with pavement and fencing. It opened earlier this year.

The money raised in the run will be used to help complete the park, whether for additional fencing or a water fountain, officials have said.

The park has been well received in the community, with dogs, and their owners, frequenting it.
