About Joshua's Future of Promises

Joshua’s FOP is a non-profit organization set up by Joshua Scoble’s family in an effort to raise awareness and funds for FOP research, as well as to help support families affected by FOP. Joshua Scoble of Emmaus, Penn. is a 6-year-old boy who was born with Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP), a rare genetic disease with less than 700 patients worldwide. FOP causes patients' muscles to turn to bone, prohibiting bending at the joints. FOP researchers discovered the gene mutation in 2006 after 15 years of research and a cure for treatment is currently under development.
