Geocaching is a unique outdoor recreational activity, like a scavenger hunt. Participants, regardless of their age and ability, use latitude/ longitude coordinates and a hand-held GPS unit or smart phone with GPS capabilities to locate hidden containers (called “caches”) and maybe find a “treasure” of sorts.
As part of our event, we will hide “caches” and give you the coordinates to help you on your search. If you have a GPS unit, bring it along. If you don’t, we hope to have units available. The main location will be at the Route 100 Park on Saturday September 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
This is a “rain or shine” event, and it's FREE. No registration required, just show up.
