"It's a relaxing atmosphere. You can get your hair done or you can just hang out," said Alyssa Whitmore, who helps run the business.
Whitmore said the shop's offerings of Miller Lite and Yuengling Lite are equally popular. A hot trend in hair cuts is flat tops. The shop attracts a number of military personnel, Whitmore said.

For boys, mohawks were big for summer but more traditional hair cuts are back now that school has started.
The Barber Shop opened last December and business is good thanks in part to its location on busy Trexlertown Road, said Whitmore.
