New Weis to Get Liquor License for Cafe

Customers will be able to buy beer at Weis Markets' new Fogelsville store

The Upper Macungie Township Board of Supervisors has unanimously approved a plan to move a liquor license from Hanover Township to Upper Macungie so that it can be used in a café off Route 100 in Fogelsville.

Weis plans to open a supermarket by the first quarter of next year.

Customers will have a two-beer limit in the café, and will only be allowed two six packs to go, a Weis spokesman said.

Video cameras will be used to provide surveillance and keep the cafe secure, the spokesman said.
