Woman Breaks Wine Glass on Man's Head, Police Say
Upper Macungie Police said Mary Lokay, 63, of Upper Macungie struck a man on top of his head with a wine glass Sunday afternoon.
An Upper Macungie woman is in Lehigh County Prison after hitting a man over the head with a wine glass Sunday, according to township police.
Police said Mary Lokay, 63, of 5785 Haasadahl Road, struck a man in the head with a wine glass during an argument at about 4 p.m. Sunday.
According to the arrest affidavit, the victim had a lump with blood evident where the wine glass hit him on the top of the head.
Police said Lokay admitted to hitting the man in the head with the glass.
Lokay was arraigned by on-duty District Judge Patricia Engler of Allentown and remanded to Lehigh County Prison after failing to post $5,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 12.
Online court records show that Lokay was arrested in North Whitehall Township in February on disorderly conduct/fighting charges. The records show Lokay pleaded guilty and paid a fine.
