PennDOT to Fix Potholes, Seal Cracks on Routes 100 and 22

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has scheduled road work in Upper Macungie, North Whitehall and South Whitehall areas:

Upper Macungie

• Road: Route 22 between Route 309 and Interstate 78
• Type of Work: Pothole Patching
• Date: Thursday, Jan. 31, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Restriction: Lane restrictions both directions. Motorists are urged to watch for stopped vehicles and to use caution when traveling through work areas.
• Rain will cause delays.

Lehigh County

• Road: Route 22 west between Interstate 78 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike
• Type of Work: Bridge Repair
• Date: 10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, through 6 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28.
• Restriction: Lane restriction westbound for bridge work related to an
  ongoing bridge maintenance contract in Lehigh County. Work will occur Sunday night into  Monday morning.
• Rain will cause delays.

Upper Macungie/Lowhill Township

• Road: Route 100 between Applewood Road and Claussville Road
• Type of Work: Crack Sealing
• Date: Monday-Tuesday, Jan. 28-29, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Restriction: Lane restriction with flagging. Expect delays. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through work areas.
• Rain will cause delays.

• Road: Route 100 between Hamilton Boulesvard and Interstate 78
• Type of Work: Crack Sealing
• Date: Thursday, Jan. 31, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Restriction: Northbound lane restrictions with flagging. Expect delays. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through work areas.
• Rain will cause delays.

• Road: Route 100 between Hamilton Boulesvard and Interstate 78
• Type of Work: Crack Sealing
• Date: Tuesday-Wednesday, Jan. 29-30, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Restriction: Southbound lane restrictions with flagging. Expect delays. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through work areas.
• Rain will cause delays.

North Whitehall

• Road: Route 309 at Sand Spring Road
• Type of Work: Construction
• Date: 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, through 6 a.m. Tuesday. 
• Restriction: Lane restriction on Route 309 for work related to the ongoing Route 309 at Sand Spring Road/Orchard Road Intersection Improvement Project. Work will occur Monday night into Tuesday morning.
• Rain will cause delays.
