PennDOT Plans Work on Route 100, I-78 and Other Roads

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has scheduled road work in Upper Macungie and North Whitehall areas and nearby municipalities:

Upper Macungie

• Road: Route 100 North at Penn Drive 
• Type of Work: Roadway base repairs
• Date: Thursday, Oct. 25, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Restriction: Lane restrictions. Expect delays. Motorists are urged to watch for stopped vehicles and to use caution when traveling through work areas.
• Rain will cause delays.

 

• Road: Schantz Road between Route 863 and Route 100
• Type of Work: Crack Sealing
• Date: Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Restriction: Lane restrictions with flagging. Expect delays. Motorists are urged to watch for stopped vehicles and to use caution when traveling through work areas.
• Rain will cause delays.

 

North Whitehall Township

• Road: Neffs-Laury Road between Route 145 and Old Post Road
• Type of Work: Brush cutting
• Date: Monday, Oct. 22, to Friday, Oct. 26, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Restriction: Lane restrictions with flagging. Expect delays. Motorists are urged to watch for stopped vehicles and to use caution when traveling through work areas.
• Rain will cause delays.

 

• Road: Rising Sun/Paradise Road between Old Post Road and Neffs-Laury Road
• Type of Work: Crack Sealing
• Date: Tuesday, Oct. 23, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Restriction: Lane restrictions with flagging. Expect delays. Motorists are urged to watch for stopped vehicles and to use caution when traveling through work areas.
• Rain will cause delays.

 

• Road: Scheidys Road/West Street between Neffs-Laury Road and Route 329
• Type of Work: Crack Sealing
• Date: Monday, Oct. 22, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Restriction: Lane restrictions with flagging. Expect delays. Motorists are urged to watch for stopped vehicles and to use caution when traveling through work areas.
• Rain will cause delays.

 

Interstate 78 / Various Municipalities

• Road: Interstate 78 between Route 22 and Lehigh Street
• Type of Work: Median Repair
• Date: Monday, Oct. 22, to Thursday, Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Restriction: Lane restrictions in both directions for moving operation at various locations. 
• Rain will cause delays.

 

North Whitehall/Heidelberg Townships

• Road: Neffs-Laury Road between Route 145 and Railroad Road
• Type of Work: Shoulder work/widening
• Date: Monday, Oct. 22, to Tuesday, Oct. 23, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Restriction: Lane restrictions with flagging. Watch for stopped vehicles and use caution when traveling through work area.
• Rain will cause delays.
