PennDOT Road Work: Week of Dec. 17

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has scheduled work in the South Whitehall, North Whitehall and Upper Macungie areas:

South Whitehall

• Road: Cedar Crest Boulevard between Orefield Road and Main Street
• Type of Work: Brush cutting
• Date: Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 17-18, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Restriction: Lane restriction with flagging. Motorists are urged to watch for stopped vehicles and to use caution when traveling through work areas.
• Rain will cause delays.

 

• Road: Cedar Crest Boulevard ramps at Route 22
• Type of Work: Crack sealing
• Date: Friday, Dec. 21, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Restriction: Ramp restriction with flagging. Motorists are urged to watch for stopped vehicles and to use caution when traveling through work areas.
• Rain will cause delays.

 

North Whitehall

• Road: Mauch Chunk Road between Willow Lane and Main Street
• Type of Work: Brush cutting
• Date: Wednesday-Friday, Dec. 19-21, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Restriction: Lane restriction southbound. Motorists are urged to watch for stopped vehicles and to use caution when traveling through work areas.
• Rain will cause delays. 

 

Weisenberg/Upper Macungie

• Road: Interstate 78 between Route 100 and Berks County Line
• Type of Work: Crack sealing
• Date: Monday-Tuesday, Dec. 17-18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Restriction: Lane restriction westbound. Motorists are urged to watch for stopped vehicles and to use caution when traveling through work areas.
• Rain will cause delays. 

 

Weisenberg/Upper Macungie

• Road: Interstate 78 between Route 100 and Berks County Line
• Type of Work: Crack sealing
• Date: Wednesday-Thursday, Dec. 19-20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Restriction: Lane restriction westbound. Motorists are urged to watch for stopped vehicles and to use caution when traveling through work areas.
• Rain will cause delays. 

 

Lehigh County

• Road: Interstate 78 between Route 22 and Route 100
• Type of Work: Median repair
• Date: Monday, Dec. 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Restriction: Westbound lane restriction for median barrier repair; eastbound shoulder restriction. 
• Rain will cause delays. 

Lehigh County

• Road: Interstate 78 between Cedar Crest Boulevard and Lehigh Street
• Type of Work: Median repair
• Date: Wednesday, Dec. 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Restriction: Lane restriction in both directions for median barrier repair. 
• Rain will cause delays.
