PennDOT Road Work: Week of Jan. 14

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has scheduled work in the South Whitehall, Upper Macungie and Weisenberg areas:

South Whitehall

• Road: Cedar Crest Boulevard ramp at Route 22
• Type of Work: Crack sealing
• Date: Thursday, Jan. 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Restriction: Ramp restriction with flagging. Motorists should expect delays and are urged to use caution when traveling through work area.
• Rain will cause delays.

• Road: Tilghman Street Ramp at Route 22
• Type of Work: Crack sealing
• Date: Friday, Jan. 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Restriction: Ramp restriction with flagging. Motorists should expect delays and are urged to use caution when traveling through work area.
• Rain will cause delays.

 

Weisenberg/Upper Macungie

• Road: Interstate 78 between Route 863 and Route 100
• Type of Work: Pothole patching
• Date: Wednesday, Jan. 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Restriction: Lane restriction eastbound. Motorists should expect delays and are urged to use caution when traveling through work area.
• Rain will cause delays.

• Road: Interstate 78 between Route 100 and the Berks County Line
• Type of Work: Pothole patching
• Date: Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 14-15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Restriction: Lane restriction westbound. Motorists should expect delays and are urged to use caution when traveling through work area.
• Rain will cause delays.

 

Lehigh County

• Road: Interstate 78 between Lehigh Street and Cedar Crest Boulevard
• Type of Work: Median repair
• Date: Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 14-15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Restriction: Lane restriction in both directions for median barrier repair. 
• Rain will cause delays.

 

Upper Macungie

• Road: Route 22 between Interstate 78 and Route 309
• Type of Work: Pothole patching
• Date: Thursday, Jan. 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Restriction: Lane restriction. Motorists should expect delays and are urged to use caution when traveling through work area.
• Rain will cause delays.

• Road: Interstate 22 between Kuhnsville exit and Interstate 78
• Type of Work: Shoulder work/widening
• Date: Monday-Friday, Jan. 14-18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Restriction: Shoulder restriction westbound. Motorists should watch for stopped vehicles and are urged to use caution when traveling through work area.
• Rain will cause delays.
