Veteran's Day Photo: Fogelsville's Silent Sentinel

Time and the elements are wearing away the face of a stoic soldier who stands guard in the cemetery of on Church Street in Fogelsville.

The soldier stands atop a monument to Fogelsville's war dead, including men who made the ultimate sacrifice in the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. Their names are engraved on the memorial.
