Illegal Dumper at Camp Spirit May Have Used Rental Truck

The concrete slabs left at Camp Spirit in Applewood earlier this week might have come from a basement or garage and been transported in a rental truck, police say.

Concrete slabs dumped illegally at in Upper Macungie might have come from interior demolition such as in a basement or garage, police said.

The concrete at the Boy Scout camp at 1718 Mulberry Road in the Applewood section of Fogelsville either Sunday or Monday, according to Berks-Lehigh Regional Police.

The work was possibly completed by an amateur, according to police, who might have used a rental truck, like those found at home improvement stores, to transport the concrete, police said.

Removing the concrete will be pricey and police are asking anyone with information about the illegal dumping or who might have seen such a truck on Mulberry Road last Sunday or Monday to contact them at 610-683-8740.
