Homeowners Allowed to put Shed in Setback
The Upper Macungie Zoning Board gives homeowners some extra space on Milkweed Drive to put a shed in their yard.

Tricia Martnick and Scott Keys of 285 Milkweed Drive in wanted to put a shed in their yard. But it didn’t fit.
So they came to the Upper Macungie Township Zoning Board to win a variance for some squeezing room and put it, partially, into a setback.

“We need 2 1/2 feet on the side of the property, and none in the back to allow the shed,” Keys explained.
The board passed the variance 6-0, as the 2 ½ feet did not protrude into a pedestrian area.
