Shelter Animals in Need of Homes

Meet Oreo and Lil' Abner

Each week Upper Macungie Patch features animals in need of permanent homes through local animal welfare groups. This week, we bring you two cuddly critters, one dog and one kitty.

Each of these lovable creatures could really use a good home. If you are thinking of adding a pet to your home, please consider adopting.

OREO

This mixed breed dog is thought to be approximately five years old. Oreo has a dark coat with white on his paws and chest, and he’s just as sweet as his namesake. Currently being fostered after being found as a stray, he enjoys running with other dogs and being in the company of other animals.  He would make a great dog for any family. Oreo is up to date on shots and is neutered. Contact Lisa at 610-366-8282 or visit www.lopci.com for more information.

This little guy is a 9- to 10-week-old tiger kitty. Found wandering in the middle of a busy road, he was scooped up just in time by his rescuer. Lil’ Abner has had his first distemper shot, has been wormed and has tested negative for feline leukemia.  He just needs a loving family to give him a good home.  Call 610-760-9009 or visit www.forgottenfelines.org for more information.
